Scorecards that show their working.
Five pillars, 19 signals, one grade. Every score is a fixed function of the reported numbers, so the same filings always produce the same card, and every signal shows the figures behind it.

The first four are built on each refresh; the rest build on first open. A row without a grade is not a judgement, it has not been scored yet.
One card, read four ways.
The score does not change with the reader. What changes is which signals lead and what gets said about the gaps. Each scorecard closes with a short read for every segment, built from the same numbers.
- 01Pre-listingFounders and CFOs preparing an SME or main-board issue
What the market pays listed peers for growth and margin, and how promoter holding, pledge and leverage get discounted at the IPO table.
- 02RetailIndividual investors who want two numbers and the flags
Grade, ROE, debt to equity and any signal that fails the rubric, in the order they matter. Nothing about price targets.
- 03HNILarger personal books sizing a position in a thin float
Promoter, institutional and public split, shareholder count, market cap, and the leverage and cash items that decide how much is sensible to hold.
- 04InstitutionalFunds and family offices running formal diligence
Governance and cash-conversion flags first, then an honest list of what the scorecard cannot see: auditors, related parties, contingent liabilities.
Eight ways to read an SME. One method.
From the day a DRHP is filed to the quarter after listing, every report runs on the same fixed scorecard. Same filings in, same card out. Pick the report that fits where you are in the SME’s life.
- 01Pre-Listing ScorecardEvery SME IPO, scored at DRHP stage.
Financials, governance and promoter background, run through the five-pillar scorecard, so you see the grade before the issue is priced.
- 02Listing ReportThe RHP read, before the issue opens.
What changed between DRHP and RHP, what the final numbers say, and which signals moved the grade. Read it before you apply, not after.

Each signal maps a reported figure to 0–100 on a straight ramp between two printed anchors. A pillar is the plain average of its scored signals; the overall is the weighted average of scored pillars, renormalised when a pillar has nothing to score. A promoter pledge is scored only when one is reported, so “not scored” there is not a clean bill. Auditor changes, related-party dealings and contingent liabilities are never in the input and are listed as not scored so the gap stays visible.
